Tools and Techniques for Improving Executive Functions
On Monday, Nov. 8, 2010 at 7PM Dr. Marc Gurtman, School Psychologist and Lynn Settlow, Hear Reading Specialist, The Churchill School will present a program that will provide an overview of executive functioning, its importance in the development of middle and high school students and the effects at home and in school. They will present tools and techniques for executive function development. Registration is required and the workshop costs $25 per person. GreatSchools is a national nonprofit whose mission is to inspire and guide parents to become effective champions of their children's education at home and in their communities.
The Center for Learning Differences, Inc. connects families and professionals dealing with learning differences with information and resources. A section with lists of Evaluation Centers and Private Evaluators serving children and families in the New York metropolitan area can be found in their "Getting Started" menu. Winston Prep is their first "Featured School".
Learning Disabilities, Dyslexia, and Vision: A Subject Review by the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Center for Social Emotional Education has become the National School Climate Center.
